צו דער געלעגנהייט פון דעם יערלעכן באנקעט פון דער ליובאוויטשער ישיבה אין נוארק, יום א' פ' בהר.
שיק איך מיין באגריסונג און ברכה צו אלע געערטער געסט און אנטיילנעמער, און האף אז די סעודת מצוה וועט ברענגען דער ישיבה מער ווי די דערווארטעטע הילף און אונטערשטיצונג, סיי גייסטיג סיי פינאנציעל, דורך דער גרעסטער אנשטרענגונג פון אלע פריינט פון דער ישיבה.
מיר געפינען זיך איצט אין די טעג פון ספירה, וועלכע דערוועקן אין אונז די איבערלעבונג פון אונזערע אבות, ארויסגייענדיג פון גלות מצרים כדי צו באקומען די תורה אויפן בארג סיני, און זיי האבן מיט בענקשאפט און אמגעדולד געציילט די טעג און די וואכן צו דעם ליכטיגען טאג פון מתן-תורה. מען דארף זיך אין דעם אריינטראכטן. ווארום די אידן, ארויסגייענדיג פון מצרים, האבן נאך ניט געוואוסט וואס תורה איז, און וואס תורה באדייט פארן אידישן פאלק און פארן אידישן פרט. מיר אידן האבן שוין אבער זינט יענער צייט דערפילט און זיך איבערצייגט ווי אזוי די תורה - תורת חיים - איז אונזער גאנץ לעבן, ווי אזוי תורה און מצוות מאכן ליכטיג דאס טעגלעך לעבן פון יעדן אידן, און באשיצן אונז אין די שווערסטע צייטן פון גלות. דארף דאך יעדער איד איצט אודאי פילן און ארויסווייזן נאך א גרעסערן און טיפערן געפיל פון ליבשאפט און איבערגעבנהייט פאר דער תורה הק'.
אין דער סדרה פון דער וואך פון דעם באנקעט (פ' בהר), רעדט זיך וועגן דער מצוה פון אפגעבן פאר דעם אויבערשטן א גאנץ יאר, איין יאר אין זיבן, אלס א שבת לה'. אידן האבן זיך געדארפט אפרייסן פון זייערע פערזענלעכע אינטערעסן און ערדישע באשעפטיקונגען, און א גאנץ יאר אפגעבן זיך מיט תורה און קדושה. פארזיכערט, גלייכצייטיק, די תורה הק', אז ניט נאר וועט דורך דעם ניט גאר ניט פעלן בא אידן, נאר אדרבה, דער אויבערשטער וועט אויף אן איבערנאטירלכן אופן שיקן זיין ברכה, אז איין יאר זאל ברענגען פרנסה פאר דריי יאר.
אויף דעם אופן איז אויך די איבערנאטירלעכע ברכה וואס דער אויבערשטער שיקט פאר יעדער טעטיקייט און איבערגעבנהייט אין אלע ענינים פון קדושה, בפרט די אונטערשטיצונג פון אזא מוסד תורה על טהרת הקדש, ווי די ליובאוויטשער ישיבה אין נוארק, דאס שטאלץ פון נוארקער און ניו-דזשערסי אידנטום.

To the participants in the annual dinner of the Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Newark — may Hashem be upon them and grant them life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
On the occasion of the annual banquet of the Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Newark, on Sunday of Parshas Behar, I send my greetings and blessing to all honored guests and participants. I hope that this seudas mitzvah will bring the yeshiva more than the expected help and support—both spiritual and financial—through the greatest efforts of all friends of the yeshiva.
We are now in the days of Sefirah, which awaken within us the experience of our ancestors as they left Egypt to receive the Torah at Mount Sinai. They counted with longing and patience for that bright day of Matan Torah. We must reflect on this: when leaving Egypt, Jews did not yet know what Torah was or what it meant for our people or each individual Jew. But since then, we have experienced how Torah—Torat Chayim—is our entire life; how Torah and mitzvos illuminate every Jew's daily life and protect us even in the hardest times of exile.
Therefore, every Jew should now certainly feel and demonstrate an even greater and deeper sense of love and devotion to the holy Torah.
This week's parsha (Behar), coinciding with this banquet, discusses the mitzvah to dedicate an entire year out of seven as a Shabbos for Hashem. Jews had to set aside their personal interests and worldly occupations to devote a whole year to Torah and holiness. The holy Torah assures us that not only will nothing be lacking because of this; on the contrary—the A-lmighty will send His blessing in a supernatural way so that one year will provide sustenance for three years.
In this manner as well is G‑d's supernatural blessing sent for every activity and devotion in all matters of holiness—especially supporting such a pure institution as this Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Newark—the pride of Newark's and New Jersey's Jewry.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that supporting Torah institutions brings both spiritual fulfillment and G‑d’s extraordinary blessings. Just as Jews counted toward receiving the Torah with longing, we too should deepen our devotion to Torah—and help ensure its flourishing through active support.
