Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the fifth candle: It is obvious that the content of my previous letter, to which you are replying, was certainly not intended to cause anyone distress; rather, it was to clarify the matter as I see it regarding those points relevant to conduct in the present and future.
It is also clear that I did not intend to instruct anyone that they must live with limitation, as this is not at all my role—especially according to the well-known saying of our Sages that the world was only worthy of using gold because it was necessary for building the Beis HaMikdash (Temple). Similarly, every Jewish home is called a Mikdash (sanctuary), as it says: 'Ve'asu Li Mikdash V'Shachanti B'Tocham' ("And they shall make Me a sanctuary and I will dwell among them")—among every individual Jew. Every form of abundance in the world exists because it is fitting for every Jewish home. Of course, this should be without chasing after materialism or physical expansion, but the essence should be so. This is like what Rambam writes at the end of Hilchos Teshuvah and Hilchos Melachim regarding conduct in the days of Moshiach concerning physicality.
What I did intend was to encourage involvement in the Chabad institution located at their camp nine. My opinion on this is firm: this is also a channel for material livelihood for Anash there. On the other hand, there must be a reduction in worry about livelihood—even though effort is required, it should not be accompanied by anxiety; rather, on the contrary—with strong trust in Hashem Who sustains the entire world with His goodness, grace, kindness, and mercy. Then one's actions are more effective and successful; moreover, this adds to bodily health and one's response to their surroundings and efforts regarding livelihood in particular—whereas worry about livelihood has an opposite effect.
May it be G‑d's will that from now on things will follow the lesson from Chanukah—that we always increase light—so too may there be growth both generally and personally. May you share good news—good that is visible and revealed.
Blessings for good tidings in all mentioned above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that guidance comes from care—not criticism—and encourages trust in Hashem over anxiety regarding livelihood. Involvement with Chabad institutions brings both spiritual and material blessing; one should always strive to increase light and positivity.
