מאשר הנני בתודה קבלת נרות שעוה, שמשים לנרות חנוכה.
ויהי רצון שע"פ מאמר רז"ל הידוע (הובא ברמב"ן ר"פ בהעלותך) דנרות חנוכה הן הנרות הקיימות לעולם, ומזה למדים רז"ל אשר הברכות, ברכות כהנים, ג"כ אינן בטלות לעולם, (עיי"ש ברמב"ן).
הנה בימינו ובקרוב ממש, יקוים היעוד, יאר ה' פניו אליך וגו' וישם לך שלום, וכפירוש רז"ל, יאר גו' שנאמר קומי אורי כי בא אורך, וישם לך שלום - זה שלום מלכות בית דוד, שנאמר למרבה המשרה ולשלום אין קץ (ספרי במדבר ו, כה כו) ביאת שר שלום המרבה המשרה הוא משיח צדקנו.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I gratefully acknowledge receipt of the wax candles, shamashim for Chanukah candles.
May it be G‑d's will that, as is known from our Sages (brought in Ramban at the beginning of Behaaloscha), that the Chanukah candles are eternal lights. From this our Sages learn that blessings—specifically the priestly blessings—are also never nullified (see there in Ramban). In our days and very soon, may the prophecy be fulfilled: "Ya'er Hashem Panav Eilecha... Veyasem Lecha Shalom" (May G‑d shine His face upon you... and grant you peace), and as our Sages explain: "Ya'er..." as it says "Kumi Ori Ki Va Orech" (Arise! Shine! For your light has come), and "Veyasem Lecha Shalom"—this is the peace of the kingdom of David's house, as it says "Lemarbeh Hamisrah Ul'Shalom Ein Ketz" (Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end) (Sifri Bamidbar 6:25-26), referring to the coming of Sar Shalom—the one who increases government—who is Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
