Shalom u'Vrachah!
With thanks I acknowledge receipt of the Chanukah candles as is your good custom every year.
They arrived in the days close to Yud Tes Kislev, the Rosh Hashanah for learning Chassidus and its ways. The common denominator between them is that the inner dimension of Torah in our generation was revealed through Chassidus—Razin d'Oraysa (the secrets of Torah), whose essence is to spread the wellsprings and illuminate until they shine even in the public domain. This is like what our Sages said about the Beis HaMikdash: its windows were wide on the inside and narrow on the outside specifically, which evolved into Chanukah candles that must be lit specifically at the entrance to one's house facing outward.
This order applies also to the inner dimension of Torah: at first it was only for select individuals; later it became a mitzvah to reveal this wisdom, following the ways of the living Arizal as brought in Tanya by Rabbeinu HaZaken—the master of joy and redemption of Yud Tes Kislev—until spreading the wellsprings outward. And this is sufficient explanation.
May it be G‑d's will that each one of us acts in all three aspects: a) in a manner of spreading; b) with wellsprings; c) until they reach even outside—and all with joy, vitality, and enthusiasm.
With blessings for the Festival of Redemption and for Chanukah lights to shine brightly.
P.S. As stated and based on words from Zohar attached here regarding Chanukah candles.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that both Chanukah and Yud Tes Kislev emphasize spreading inner G‑dly light outward—even into public spaces—with joy and enthusiasm. This mission applies to everyone: illuminate your surroundings by sharing Chassidus widely.
