To the participants in the farbrengen on the day of redemption and victory of our master, the Mitteler Rebbe—may Hashem be upon them for life—Shalom u'Vrachah!

It was with pleasure that I received your letter from that very day, written in the midst of your farbrengen. May it be G‑d's will that all blessings from each member of Israel to his fellow be fulfilled in revealed and visible good. It is already well known—the ruling from Above as told by our master, the Alter Rebbe: "That which a chassidic farbrengen can accomplish, even the angel Michael cannot accomplish." And one mitzvah brings another mitzvah; surely Anash in Toronto will also gather on the bright day of Yud-Tes Kislev, Rosh Hashanah for Chassidus and its ways. Regarding 'Rosh' (head), the Alter Rebbe and his son, the Mitteler Rebbe, explained why it says 'head' and not 'beginning': just as the head includes vitality for all parts of the body, so too Rosh Hashanah includes all days of the year. May it be G‑d's will that this awakening continue and its impression be felt throughout all days of the coming year.
