And may it be G‑d's will that as we now stand on the eve of the month of mercy, in which we say twice daily and arouse the request and prayer of Knesses Yisrael and each and every Jew—Achas Sha'alti Me'eis Hashem Osah Avakesh (“One thing I ask from Hashem, that I seek”)—the unity of all Jews will be spread and revealed, and in the unification of the soul's powers until they become one. As explained in Menachos 18a, this refers to the 'yechidah' (the singular essence) within the soul, which is the vessel to receive fulfillment of this request.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that entering the month of mercy requires unity among Jews and within oneself. This inner and communal oneness is what enables us to truly receive G‑d’s blessings during this special time.
