מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מז' מנ"א והקודמו, ובמעטפה בפ"ע נשלח מכתבי מענה רשמי ע"ש הועד, ובטח יוסיף הסברה בזה באם ישנם כאלו שנזקקים לתוספת הסברה.
מובן שמצער מה שבכל עניני הכפר (וכמו ההתועדות שכותב אודותה) חסרה הכנה מראש, אע"פ שבתחלת השנה כבר ידוע שביום פלוני יש מקום להתועד. ומשנים שעברו כבר נוכחו עד כמה שנחוצה הכנה. ועד"ז הוא גם בשארי עניני הכפר, כמו ענין השמות, הלואות כו', שרק אחרי שהמציאות העמידה את הענין בסדר היום, ומי שהוא רוצה ללכת עקלקלות, נזקקים לתקן הדבר וכו', דנים בזה. שעי"ז לא רק מבזבזים כחות יותר על הדרוש, אלא שברובא דרובא, דבר שמתקנים אותו ברגע האחרון אינו עולה יפה כ"כ.
ויהי רצון שעכ"פ מכאן ולהבא יעשו תכנית בעוד מועד.
וכיון שנכנסים אנו לימי חדש אלול, בודאי תיכף יתחילו להתדבר בנוגע להחדש תשרי ועניניו, ויבטיחו (באווארענען) שלא יהי' ענין פלוני וענין פלוני כקדירה דבי שותפי, ע"י שיוקבעו האחראים במיוחד לענינים מיוחדים, והעיקר - שהאחראי יקבל ע"ע אחריות זו. וגם אז ישגיח הועד על האופן שממלא תפקידו וכו'.
הצעתו בנוגע לעשרים אחוזים, נתקבלה.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 7th of Menachem Av and the previous one. In a separate envelope, my official response letter to the committee has been sent, and surely you will further explain this if there are those who require additional clarification.
It is clear that it is unfortunate that in all matters of the village (such as the farbrengen you write about), there is a lack of advance preparation, even though at the beginning of the year it is already known that on a certain day there will be a reason to gather. From previous years, it has already become evident how necessary preparation is. The same applies to other matters in the village, such as names, loans, etc., where only after reality puts the issue on the agenda and someone wants to take a crooked path do they need to fix things and then discuss them. As a result, not only are more resources wasted than necessary, but in most cases, something fixed at the last minute does not turn out as well.
May it be G‑d's will that at least from now on they will make plans ahead of time. And since we are entering the days of the month of Elul, surely they will immediately begin discussing matters concerning Tishrei and its affairs and ensure (warn) that this or that matter should not be like a pot belonging to partners—by appointing specific people responsible for particular matters; most importantly—the person responsible should accept this responsibility upon himself. Even then, the committee should supervise how he fulfills his role.
Your suggestion regarding twenty percent has been accepted.
