במענה על מכתבו מט"ז מנ"א, בהערת כת"ר שלא הזכרתי במכתבי הקודם אודות מכתב המלצה.
הרי נדבר כבר עד"ז בביקורו של כת"ר שי' כאן, ואמרתי אשר אין זה בנוהג בית הרב, וכבר ידועה הוראת רז"ל הזהרו במנהג אבותיכם. ובנדון האמור, בכלל אין צורך בכגון דא לפרסום גודל הענין בעיני כל החרדים לדבר ה' ולתורתו. והרי כל אחד מישראל עליו נאמר אני ישנה בגלותא ולבי ער להקב"ה לתורתו ולמצותיו. ועמך כולם צדיקים.
ויברך השי"ת את כת"ר, וכל העוזרים לו במפעלו הכי נעלה, אשר מתוך בריאות הנכונה יוסיף חיילים בעבודתו זו, ובפרט שנמצאים אנו בימים אשר עליהם נאמר כל המוסיף מוסיפין לו, ההצלחה בהענין עצמו, נוסף על ההצלחה בהענינים הפרטים.
ויהי רצון שיתבשרו כאו"א אך טוב, ואין טוב אלא תורה ומצות, טוב לשמים וטוב לבריות, וכמרז"ל הידוע.

In response to your letter from the 16th of Menachem Av, regarding your comment that I did not mention in my previous letter about a letter of recommendation: This matter was already discussed during your visit here, and I said that this is not the custom of Beis HaRav. The directive of our Sages is well known: "Be careful with the customs of your forefathers."
In this case, there is generally no need for such a thing to publicize the greatness of the matter in the eyes of all those who are careful regarding the word of G‑d and His Torah. Every Jew is included in what is said: "I am asleep in exile but my heart is awake to the Holy One Blessed be He, to His Torah and His mitzvos." And "Your people are all righteous."
May Hashem bless you and all who assist you in your most lofty endeavor, that with proper health you will add strength in this work—especially as we are now in days about which it is said: "Whoever increases, they increase for him"—success in this matter itself, in addition to success in personal matters.
May it be G‑d's will that each and every one should hear only good news; and there is no good except Torah and mitzvos—good for Heaven and good for people—as our Sages have taught.
