Shalom u'Vrachah!
Regarding what you wrote about the wedding location, the prevalent custom is that it is held on the bride's side—that is, in the place they desire. May it be in a good and auspicious hour and lead to building a Chassidic home in every detail.
With blessings for good news.
Your letter from the 17th of Menachem Av was received. Regarding the "cheshbon hanefesh" (spiritual accounting) mentioned there—this has already been addressed in Hayom Yom for the 23rd of Sivan.
As for what you wrote connecting this to our Sages' words in Kiddushin (49b)—see there: "We do not say like Shimon etc." And even more so—and this is essential: "If he married her without specification etc."
In your question regarding Torah Or p. 174 and onward about the explanation there of rectification through completeness, etc.—the matter is stated there concisely (and apparently something is missing from the transcript). It seems that the intent is to study (the inner dimension of) Torah in the most complete way possible, so that all one's intellectual powers are revealed in his study and that it should fully occupy all his intellectual capacity.
See Shulchan Aruch Even HaEzer at the end of section 23: regarding words of truth that grasp the hearts of the holy ones. The early Chassidim and great sages would pride themselves that one never looked at his own circumcision, and some would pride themselves that they never contemplated their wife's form because their heart turned away from nonsense (the term 'nonsense' here refers to vanity) toward words of truth that grasp the hearts of the holy ones.
Summary
The Rebbe guides on following established customs for weddings and stresses dedicating one's full intellect to Torah study with sincerity and depth, drawing on both Halachic sources and Chassidic teachings for personal growth.
