I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 21st of Sivan, together with your additional note. Yesterday, while at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe—may the memory of the righteous be a blessing—I mentioned you and your family in accordance with the content of your letter.

May it be Hashem's will that you have good news in this matter, especially since the merit of the many supports you, as you are involved in promoting the purity of Jewish women—a matter whose greatness cannot be sufficiently described or valued. In our country in earlier times, Jews even gave their lives for this cause, led by my father-in-law, the Rebbe—may his memory be a blessing—whose days of redemption are approaching. One of the main reasons for his imprisonment was his activism in this area; if so then, how much more so now.

His redemption—which was a victory for this cause over concealment and obstacles—should inspire that now too there should be a visible change for the better in matters of purity in its simple sense, which will also lead to an increase in purity of soul.
