במענה על מכתבו מד' סיון עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו, ובנועם קראתי בסיום מכתבו אשר מקבל עליו מה שיצווה בקשר עם תוכן מכתבו, ומובן גם כן במה הוא מצוה, היינו לימוד התורה בהתמדה ושקידה הן בנגלה והן בחסידות מתאים לסדרי הישיבה ולהוראות הר"מ הר"י והמשפיע, ומבלי כל השתמטות ואמתלאות בזה, וקיום המצות בהידור חסידותי, ואין הדבר תלוי אלא בידו וברצונו באמת, וגדולה אחריותו בהביאו בחשבון גזע צור מחצבתו, ובודאי האריכות בזה אך למותר. וההוכחה שמקיים הנ"ל כדבעי היא שחבריו ילמדו ממנו בהנוגע ללימודם הם וקיום המצות בהידור בכל שלשת הקוים דתורה עבודה וגמילות [חסדים] שעליהם העולם (גדול וגם העולם קטן הוא האדם) עומד. ויהי רצון שבקרוב יבשר טוב בהנ"ל שבודאי תביאנה ג"כ לבשו"ט בהנוגע לתוכן הפ"נ שבמכתבו.

In response to your letter from the 4th of Sivan with the enclosed pan, I was pleased to read at the end of your letter that you accept upon yourself whatever is instructed regarding its content. It is also clear what is being instructed: diligent and consistent Torah study—both in Nigleh and Chassidus—according to the yeshiva's schedule and the guidance of the mashpia and teachers, without any avoidance or excuses; fulfilling mitzvos with chassidic meticulousness. This depends solely on your own true will and effort. Your responsibility is great when considering your distinguished lineage, though lengthy discussion on this is surely unnecessary.
The proof that you are fulfilling all this properly will be when your friends learn from you regarding their own studies and meticulous mitzvah observance in all three pillars—Torah, avodah, and gemilus chassadim—upon which the world (both the great world and the small world that is a person) stands.
May it be Hashem's will that you soon share good news about all of the above, which will certainly also bring good news regarding the content of the pan mentioned in your letter.
