In response to your letter, in which you write a summary of your life's history and continue regarding your connection to Chassidus and Chassidim.

It is already well known what our holy Rebbeim have said: "The true hiskashrus (connection) is through learning Torah—when one studies my maamarim of Chassidus, reads the sichos, connects with my friends among Anash and the students of Tomchei Temimim in their studies and farbrengens, fulfills my request to say Tehillim and keep the times for learning—this is hiskashrus." Similarly, when each of us studies those maamarim of Divrei Elokim Chaim and strives to keep the takanos of our holy Rebbeim—and above all, is involved in spreading the wellsprings (the wellsprings of Toras HaChassidus, its guidance and customs)—then we are all connected together in the Tree of Life through our Rebbeim up to the highest levels: Rabbeinu HaZaken (the Alter Rebbe), the Maggid of Mezritch, the Baal Shem Tov, etc., about whom it is said: "Anochi omed bein Hashem uveineichem" (I stand between G‑d and you), serving as an intermediary who connects with the Essence of Ein Sof blessed be He.

In connection with this, it pleased me to see in your letter that aside from your sons being within the four cubits of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim, you yourself also have set times for studying Toras Chabad, repeat its maamarim publicly, and strive to spread its wellsprings outward by visiting Jewish settlements which for now are still outside these circles. I am certain that through all this your hiskashrus will be further strengthened; most importantly, it should impact daily life and all matters—as it says: "Bechol derachecha da'eihu" (In all your ways know Him). How wondrous are the words of Rambam (chapter 5 of Shemoneh Perakim) that the ultimate purpose in all human matters is attaining knowledge of Hashem—see there.

We are approaching Zman Cheiruseinu (the season of our freedom), freedom from all things that disturb serving Hashem with joy and gladness of heart from abundance.

At an auspicious time I will mention you and your entire family at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal for blessing. Your activities in these matters will surely stand for each one to receive blessings from the Giver of Torah—the Source of life—in all they need materially and spiritually.

Blessings for good news in all mentioned above; may you continue spreading the wellsprings ever more as commanded to always ascend in holiness. Wishing you a kosher and joyous Pesach.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that true connection comes through learning Chassidus, joining with fellow chassidim, fulfilling requests such as saying Tehillim, and actively spreading Chassidus. These efforts bring blessings both materially and spiritually for oneself and one's family.
