I was pleased to receive your letter from Tuesday, the day that "it was good" was doubled, in which you write about the farbrengen celebrating our redemption and the redemption of our soul—namely, the liberation of our Rebbe, the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya (the authority in the hidden dimension of Torah) and Shulchan Aruch (the authority in the revealed dimension of Torah)—on Yud Tes Kislev, which is called by the Rebbeim "Rosh Hashanah for Chassidus and its ways."

May it be G‑d's will that certainly, as our Sages say: "Whenever ten are gathered together, the Shechinah rests among them—even if they are not speaking words of Torah" (see Tanya Igeres HaKodesh ch. 23)—then surely the Divine presence is even greater when G‑d-fearing people speak with one another words of Torah and inspiration to fear of Heaven and love of G‑d. From this all those participating in the farbrengen are blessed—they and their families—with all they need.

Especially since those who participated in this farbrengen did so with joy. It is known from Zohar that when a person below stands with a shining countenance below, then above they shine upon him as well; a person's joy draws down another higher joy (Zohar Tetzaveh 184b). May it be G‑d's will that you go from strength to strength until the time when the promise will be fulfilled: "You shall go out with joy"—with the true and complete redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
