לאחרי הפסק נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מטו"ב טבת, בו כותב ראשי פרקים מסדרי הלימודים בכתות וכן אשר ההתועדות היתה בכי טוב ובודאי גם פנימית הכוונה נכללת בזה, זאת אומרת שתהי' רישומה ניכר בכל ימות השנה בהנוגע לפועל ובפרט ההתועדות דראש השנה לחסידות אשר הראש כולל בתוכו כל האברים וממשיך חיות לכל האברים, וק"ל. ויה"ר שיהי' באופן דמוסיף והולך וכהוראת ימי חנוכה דאזלינן דמוסיף והולך מיום ליום בנר ואור הבא משמן טהור משתשקע החמה (שמ"ר פט"ו, ו) ועל פתח ביתו מבחוץ.
הפ"נ המוסגר במכתבו יקרא בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

After a pause, I was pleased to receive your letter from the 15th of Teves, in which you write main points about the study arrangements in the classes and also that the farbrengen was very good. Certainly, the inner intention is included in this—that its effect will be felt throughout the entire year in practical matters, especially regarding the farbrengen of Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus, since the head includes all the limbs and draws life to all limbs—and this is clear.
May it be G‑d's will that this be in a manner of increasing and going higher, as is taught by the days of Chanukah—that we increase and go higher each day with the candle and light that comes from pure oil after sunset (Shir HaShirim Rabbah ch. 15:6) and at the entrance to one's house on the outside.
The pidyon nefesh enclosed in your letter will be read at an auspicious time at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal l'havdil ben chayim mezal ziya.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that spiritual inspiration from chassidic gatherings should have a lasting impact throughout the year. Just as on Chanukah we increase light daily, so too should we continually grow in holiness and positive action.
