Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from the 25th of Cheshvan and the telegram before it, may it be G‑d's will that you will soon be able to share good news about concrete activities. So far, what has been received from the administration only discusses preparations and clarifying differing opinions and views on this matter. It is already well known from the Mishnah that action is the main thing, and it is also known that one who errs regarding a Mishnah must correct himself since this is not considered an error due to the obviousness of the matter.

It is understood that under normal circumstances I would not write this, but since for months there has been talk, preparation, and planning, etc., yet the actual deeds are minimal compared to what is required at this time—and even less than what has been discussed regarding actions—it follows that concern for future conduct is greater than in matters where there is no precedent from past behavior. This should be clear.

May it be G‑d's will that since we have entered the month of Kislev—the month of miracles and victory for all matters of Chabad and all connected with it—there will also be a complete turnaround in these matters as well. From now on, may you increase your holy work as expected from the young members of Agudas Chassidei Chabad. We have been assured that then there will be success; however, every day, hour, and moment lost is regrettable. Not only is time a loss that cannot be recovered, but in our case it adds to the established pattern of lack of activity until now—especially as our Sages say: "He who frightens but does not act..." (see Gemara), and the wondrous story where Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai said about this: "Fortunate are you Israel" (see Ketubot 66b end).

It is understood that my words via vavac"h iy"a nu"n one engaged in tzt"z Mohe Shmuel Blizinski regarding the necessity for action and a campaign of momentum—even though it uses the term 'war,' obviously it must be conducted pleasantly and peacefully. As explained in the sichah: within every Jew there is an inner desire to fulfill all of G‑d's commandments completely—as ruled by Rambam at the end of Hilchot Gerushin chapter two—and "Know the G‑d of your father and serve Him" is a lofty mitzvah above all others (see Kuntres Acharon 156b). Moreover, even his heart truly desires this at least a little bit—as explained in Tanya chapter 41 (58a)—and all those who try to bring others into this knowledge also want this themselves.

As you requested, all those you wrote about will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nbgm zya. And since we have entered Kislev—the month of miracles and victory for our Alter Rebbe—may all those connected with him experience good news in all these matters and generally in Chabad affairs and their extensions.

Certainly you have planned an appropriate program to utilize these coming days of Kislev as required.

With blessing for good news.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that decisive action outweighs endless planning when advancing Chabad's mission. He urges immediate steps forward during Kislev—the month of miracles—reminding us that every moment counts toward fulfilling our purpose.
