In response to your letter from the 28th of Cheshvan. Thank you for the general update, confirming that everything was found in order both generally and specifically. May it be G‑d's will that the matters discussed during the farbrengen about which you write will have their effect on both the listeners and the speakers, similar to the story of my revered teacher, who saw a pan (petitionary note) from his father, my revered teacher—Reb Shalom Dovber—as preparation for saying a maamar (Chassidic discourse), and in his holy words: "that it should have an effect on me and on those listening." I have already said many times at farbrengens that even though it would seem that since this is a pan of a leader of Israel there is room to question whether this conduct is relevant to others as well, but since these things became public knowledge, it is certainly relevant also to those who heard them. In our case, all the more so; if he wrote such a pan, how much more so people like us.

Certainly you are preparing an appropriate plan to utilize the upcoming holidays—Yud-Tes Kislev and Chanukah—in a fitting manner. May you share good news about this.
