במענה על מכתבו מי"ט מנ"א נעם לי לקרות בו שיהי' ש"צ בבית הכנסת בו הציעו לו שיאמר לפניהם דברי התעוררות בר"ה או ביום הכפורים. ובודאי שאך למותר לעורר בזה שצריך להיות בר"ה וגם ביוהכ"פ וגם בימים שבינתיים, ובפרט בשבת שובה - שהרי יהי' שם גם אז לפי הקביעות דשנה הבע"ל. אף שמובן - באופן שלא ייגע את השומעים.
ולכן לפעמים צריכים לומר שזהו שקו"ט שיחה ולא דרוש מוסרי. ובטח ימצא אופנים המתאימים ואותיות המתאימות. והשי"ת יצליחו.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 19th of Menachem Av, I was pleased to read that you will serve as shaliach tzibbur in the synagogue where you were asked to share words of inspiration on Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur.
It is certainly unnecessary to emphasize that this should be done on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and also during the days in between, especially on Shabbat Shuvah—since you will be there then as well according to this year's calendar.
Of course, it is understood that this should be done in a way that does not tire the listeners. Therefore, sometimes it is necessary to say that it is a discussion or conversation rather than a moral sermon. Surely you will find appropriate ways and suitable words. May Hashem grant you success.
