Although I have not yet received detailed reports from you, I hope that the matter of the summer camp is progressing as required. Since it appears that you began later than planned, it is known what our Sages instructed in such cases—as cited by our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe in Iggeres HaTeshuvah chapter 9: if one was accustomed to read one page, he should now read two pages, etc. This means that your efforts in organizing this matter must be doubled—both to compensate for current needs and for what should have been done earlier. I await detailed updates on this.

b) Even though it is so obvious that I did not write to the village committee to urge their increased support for the summer camp—since their benefit is no less than that of the camp guests, and perhaps even greater—nonetheless, for extra emphasis I am doing so now. Although these words are addressed to the administration of Oholei Yosef Yitzchak, they are trustworthy to convey my words as they are to the village committee. With confidence in their greatest possible assistance—even if there are matters in the village which seemingly cannot be accomplished except at some expense to the camp—it is already known that a mitzvah whose time would pass overrides many other concerns. In this case as well, since the summer camp is time-bound and because its guests will later disperse to various places, there is special importance in achieving its utmost completeness in every detail.

If regarding the village committee these words about assistance apply, how much more so do they apply to all members of the network administration, all Oholei Yosef Yitzchak schools and teaching staff who must act as an example for everyone else. Even if for whatever reason some have not participated fully until now, I hope that upon receiving this letter they too will become involved as described above—as cited by our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe in Iggeres HaTeshuvah mentioned above...

d) So far I have not received any information about plans for utilizing vacation days or arranging at least occasional meetings with students during these weeks or maintaining suitable contact with them. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to use even the presence of the shluchim sheyichyu in Eretz HaKodesh for such purposes.
