מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מ-/5;7amp&, ואף שכותב שלפי דעתו קשה לו לפעול על צבור ובנקל הרבה יותר השפעתו על היחיד:
גם על זה קאי לשון הידוע, מזה ומזה אל תנח ידך, ובמשך הזמן בודאי יוכל לפעול גם על קבוצי אנשים ולא רק על אחדים, אף שכל התחלות קשות כמו בכל הענינים, ופשיטא שצריך להמשיך בפעולות ובהשתדלות עם יחידים, וכבר ידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, א יחיד איז א רבים, וכנראה במוחש, אשר לפעמים על ידי יחיד מתקנים את הרבים הבא לאחר זמן תחת השפעת יחיד זה.
נעם לי לקרות ביחוד במכתבו אודות הדעי קעמפ, ותקותי שלא יסתפקו במספר הילדים שכותב אודותם, אלא ישתדלו להוסיף עליהם ויהי' עתה בנקל יותר אחר שנתפרסם טיב הנהגת הקעמפ, וככל זה גם בהנוגע למסיבת שבת המתנהלת על ידי זוגתו תחי', והשי"ת יצליחם להוסיף אומץ בכל האמור להצליח באופן יוצא מן הכלל שעל ידי זה תתרבה גם כן ברכת השי"ת והצלחתו בעניניהם הפרטים.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from 5/7;amp. Even though you write that in your opinion it is difficult for you to influence a public and much easier to have an effect on an individual: regarding this as well applies the well-known phrase, 'From this and from that do not withdraw your hand,' and over time you will certainly be able to influence groups of people and not just individuals. Of course, all beginnings are difficult as in all matters, and it is obvious that one must continue activities and efforts with individuals. It is already known the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe: 'A yachid (individual) is a rabbim (many),' as is evident in practice, for sometimes through one individual many are corrected who later come under the influence of this individual.
I was pleased to read especially in your letter about the day camp, and I hope they will not be satisfied with the number of children you wrote about but will strive to add more. It will now be easier after the reputation of the camp's conduct has spread. The same applies regarding the Shabbat gathering managed by your wife—may she live—and may Hashem grant you success to increase strength in all these matters so that you succeed in an extraordinary way. Through this, Hashem's blessing and success in your personal affairs will also increase.
