I was pleased to read in your letter about the improvement in your livelihood situation, and I hope that the verse 'Harchav Picha Va'Amaleihu' ("Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it") will be fulfilled for you. On your part, you should fulfill the saying of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe: that Hashem gives Jews materiality so they can transform it into spirituality. Naturally, it is necessary to renew discussions among yourselves regarding matters of awe of Heaven and Chassidus.
As for what you said—that first one must demand of oneself—although this is a valid claim, in our times one should not postpone any holy work. Both things must be done simultaneously: demanding of oneself and of others; one should not wait until one has perfected oneself entirely. This is similar to what my revered father-in-law the Rebbe (the Rashab), of blessed memory, said as printed in Kuntres U'Maayan p. 22.
Of course, you can also pass this on to your friends to follow this path as well, because these words are meant for them too.
