חברה גמילות חסדים שומרי שבת

שלום וברכה!
במענה על ההודעה מאסיפה השנתית של החברה ביום ראשון, הבע"ל.
הנה יהי רצון שיהי' כינוסם בהצלחה, הצלחה בגשמיות והצלחה ברוחניות, היינו שפעולתם בגמ"ח כפשוטה, נוסף על גודל הענין מצד עצמו, תביא גם כן לגמילות חסדים ברוחניות,
וכמעשה אבות, שהם סימן לבנים, וביחוד אברהם אבינו אשר ענינו - גמילות חסדים, אשר סוף פעולתו עם המקבל ממנו ותכליתה, היתה ההכרזה: אמרו ברוך א-ל עולם שאכלנו משלו,
על דרך זה יהי' גם בהנוגע לפעולת החברה.
ועוד זאת, אשר לא רק המקבלים, אלא כל הרואה ואפילו השומע - שומרי שבת והם גומלי חסדים, יבינו ויתרשמו מן קישור שני הענינים.
ובפרט, אשר גם קשר מיוחד ביניהם, כי שמירת השבת מעידה וקובעת ענין "חידוש העולם, שהוא חבל המושכת כל יסודי הדת, ברצון הפשוט" (ספר החינוך בפרשתנו), היינו* בחסדו חסד חנם, ועל האדם שנברא בצלם ודמות ונצטוה לדבקה בו, להדבק בדרכיו - לגמול חסד, ובפרט אשר הדת מימינו ניתנה למו (ראה ג"כ תניא ס"פ דל"ת. תו"א צה, ב שמסיים: כלומר שנמשך מימינו (גם) אש דת. ושכרו - בתו"א לב, ע"ב בתחלתו).
וכמו שנאמר באדם העליון כביכול, והוכן בחסד כסאו, הרי גדול ענין גמילות חסדים דאדם התחתון, להשפיע לו ולכל בני ביתו שי' המצטרך להם בגשמיות וברוחניות.

Chavrah Gemilus Chasadim Shomrei Shabbos, may Hashem be upon them for life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to the notice from the society's annual gathering on Sunday, may it be soon. May it be G‑d's will that your gathering be successful—success in physical matters and in spiritual matters. That is, your work in gemilus chasadim (acts of kindness) in its literal sense, aside from the greatness of the matter itself, should also bring about spiritual acts of kindness. This follows the example of our forefathers—who are a sign for their children—and especially Avraham Avinu, whose essence was acts of kindness. The ultimate result for those who received from him was the declaration: 'Say Blessed is the G‑d of the world from Whose bounty we have eaten.' In this way too may it be regarding your society's activities.
Furthermore, not only those who receive but all who see or even hear—Shomrei Shabbos who are also doers of kindness—will understand and be impressed by the connection between these two matters. Especially since there is a unique bond between them: Shabbos observance testifies to and establishes belief in 'the renewal of creation, which is the cord that draws all foundations of faith by His simple will' (Sefer HaChinuch on our parsha), meaning through His kindness—a free kindness. And man, created in His image and likeness and commanded to cleave to Him—to follow His ways—should perform acts of kindness. Especially since 'the faith was given to them from His right hand' (see also Tanya end ch. 34; Torah Or p. 95b which concludes: that is to say that from His right hand comes also a fiery law; and its reward—Torah Or p. 32b at its beginning). And as it says regarding the Supreme Man, so to speak: 'His throne was established with kindness,' so how great is the matter of acts of kindness by man below—to provide for himself and his household whatever they need physically and spiritually.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that acts of charity should lead not only to material help but also inspire spiritual growth for both recipients and observers, linking these deeds with Shabbos observance as foundations of faith and encouraging us to emulate Divine kindness in all aspects.
