Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to see you at the farbrengen on Shabbos Kodesh, and just now I also received your letter from the third candle (of Chanukah). Although it is understandable that according to Chabad Chassidus, a brief letter like yours is more connected to makifim (surrounding lights) than to pnimiyus (inner dimension), nonetheless may it be the beginning of a positive change in your conduct going forward—that is, that you return to your previous custom from some years ago of writing in detail and relatively frequently, unlike now.
I also wish to comment on the general impression of your letter: it seems once again you are in a state of worry, particularly concerned that perhaps you will lack sustenance, G‑d forbid. This is truly astonishing regarding you, for there is ample material brought in Torah generally and in Chassidus specifically regarding the trait of bitachon (trust in G‑d), etc., etc. (Of course this does not contradict making efforts and creating vessels for livelihood as it says: "And Hashem your G‑d will bless you in all that you do," but the action should be as the verse says: "By the labor of your hands you shall eat," not by exhausting your mind, head, and heart.)
Especially for someone like yourself who has seen miracles with his own eyes personally—suddenly you worry if He Who sustains and provides for everyone according to their needs—some one billion eight hundred million people—will also provide for you and your family with kashrus and abundance? It is a shame to spend time elaborating on something so obvious. May it be His will that you see the situation as it truly is; consequently, may you increase even more in strengthening Judaism and spreading it throughout your surroundings. May Hashem add to His measure—which is many times greater—in matters of peace of mind, livelihood, and chassidic nachas from all your children together with your wife.
Awaiting good news.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that true trust in G‑d brings peace of mind regarding sustenance. Efforts must be made practically but without excessive worry; instead, one should focus on strengthening Judaism personally and communally while relying on Hashem's abundant care.
