In response to your letter from the 26th of Kislev, in which you write that you work as a kashrus supervisor on a ship, it is certainly unnecessary to remind you that just as one must supervise the kashrus of the foods entering the stomachs and intestines of the travelers, one must also find a way to supervise the kashrus of what enters the minds and hearts of the travelers. If you reflect on this personally, you will surely find a way to accomplish this. It would be appropriate to always have with you some holy seforim in general, and books of Chasidus in particular, so that you can merit teaching or at least reading from them with the travelers. Nothing stands in the way of willpower.

Regarding your question about naming a child who will be born at an auspicious and successful time: as explained in the writings of the Arizal, it is understood that this should be discussed between the parents—that is, between the father and mother—and they will be given the proper idea from Above...
