מאשרים קבלת מכתבו מאור ליום ה', ולפלא מספר המועט של התלמידים, וכבר מלתי אמורה מכמה שנים ולכמה מאנ"ש[2] שיש להשתדל בריבוי מספר תלמידים-ות במוסד חינוך הכשר, השתדלות ככל האפשרי, ובפרט כשרואים שע"י התלמידים משפיעים סו"ס[3] גם בהטבת מצב ההורים, נוסף על הצלת התלמידים עצמם מחינוך בלתי רצוי, והאריכות בדבר הפשוט אך למותר, וראינו ג"כ[4] במוחש שריבוי כמות התלמידים לא לבד שאינו מחמיר מצב הכספי של הישיבה והמוסד חינוך, אלא אדרבה, עוד מטיבו.
והשי"ת יצליחו לבשר טוב בזה בקרוב ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
מוסג"פ[5] הקובץ ליובאוויטש שהו"ל[6] זה לא כבר, ובטח ינצל תוכנו בהשפעתו על סביבתו וזכות הרבים תלוי בו.

We acknowledge receipt of your letter of the eve of Thursday. The small number of students is surprising. I have already said it several years ago, and to a number of Anash, that one should strive to increase the number of boy and girl students in a kosher educational institution, with every effort possible; especially when one sees that through the students one ultimately also influences the improvement of the parents' condition, in addition to saving the students themselves from an undesirable education. To elaborate on something so simple is superfluous. We have also seen plainly that increasing the number of students not only does not worsen the financial situation of the yeshivah and the educational institution, but on the contrary, it improves it.
May G‑d grant you success and that you report good news about this soon; and "nothing stands in the way of the will" (cf. Zohar II 162b).
Enclosed is the Kovetz Lubavitch, published recently. Surely you will make use of its contents in your influence on your surroundings, and "the merit of the many depends on him" (cf. Avos 5:18).
