בנועם קבלתי מכתבן, אף כי באיחור זמן קצת, ונעם לי לקרות בו אשר חזקו את עבודתן עם תלמידות בית הספר על ידי פעולות שונות.
ותקותי אשר אף שכותבות שהפסיקו לזמן קצר עבודתן זו, כבר התחילו בה מחדש, ובכחות חדשים ובתוספת מרץ - מתאים לדרישת השעה ההולכת וגדלה,
ומובן ופשוט שכוונתי בזה לא רק לפעולותיהן עם התלמידות הנ"ל, אלא ובמדה לא פחותה מזו גם עם עצמן בעבודה מתאמת.
וכבר ידוע פירוש תורת החסידות בלשון הכתוב הקורא לאדם מהלך - כי זהו מתפקידו וסימן לחיות אשר בו, כי מיום ליום מתגדל ומתפתח.
ורואים במוחש אשר אין הדבר תלוי אלא ברצונו של האדם, כי תמיד היכולת ביד האדם להוסיף במעמדו ומצבו על מעמדו ומצבו אתמול, וכן מיום ליום.
ואם בכל בני אדם הדברים אמורים עאכו"כ בדור הצעיר, אשר מרצו לא נוצל עדיין ותוסס בו וגם היזמה שלו רבה יותר.
אלא שצריך זהירות בכיוון ובהענינים בם ישתמשו בהמרץ והכחות, ובפרט במקומות ובענינים אשר אור וחושך משמשים בערבוביא, ומוכרחת שאלה ובירור אצל אנשים העומדים "מן הצד" היכולים לשפוט על הענינים מבלי שוחד של אהבת עצמו ופניות עצמו.
גם מוכרחת השקפת החיים להיות מבוססת בתורה וחדורה רוח יראת שמים, אשר אז הנה לפעמים תכופות באופן אינסטיקטיבי מרגישים ומבחינים בין דרך הישרה והנטי' ממנה, אף אם אפילו אין יכולים להסביר זה בשכל.
והשי"ת יזכן, את כל אחת מהן, בשנה שנכנסנו בה זה עתה, להצליח בכל האמור לעיל, ולשמש דוגמא חי' ומורה דרך גם לאחרים.

I pleasantly received your letter, even though it arrived a bit late, and it pleased me to read that you have strengthened your work with the schoolgirls through various activities.
My hope is that even though you wrote that you paused this work for a short time, you have already resumed it with renewed strength and increased vigor—matching the ever-growing demands of the time. It is clear that my intention refers not only to your activities with these students but also, no less importantly, to your own coordinated self-work.
It is already known how Chassidus explains the verse calling a person a "mehalech" (one who moves forward)—that this is his role and a sign of life within him: from day to day he grows and develops. We see clearly that this depends only on a person's will, for one always has the ability to add to his current standing over yesterday's status, and so from day to day.
If this applies to all people, how much more so for the younger generation whose energy has not yet been fully tapped and still bubbles within them—and whose initiative is even greater. However, care must be taken regarding the direction and matters in which this energy and strength are used—especially in places and areas where light and darkness are mixed together. It is necessary to ask questions and clarify matters with people who stand "from the side," who can judge things without being swayed by self-love or personal interests.
Additionally, one's outlook on life must be based on Torah and permeated with a spirit of awe of Heaven. Then one will often instinctively feel and discern between the straight path and deviation from it—even if one cannot explain it rationally.
May Hashem grant each of you, in this year we have just entered, success in all of the above—and enable you to serve as living examples and guides for others as well.
