I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter—the list of stories regarding our master and teacher, the Rebbe Maharash, may his merit protect us. Thank you very much for these notes, and certainly you will continue to do so in the future. The words and deeds of tzaddikim endure forever and continue to have their effect. It is well known how much our master and teacher, my father-in-law the Rebbe, valued this and would request and urge that these matters be recorded—provided they are written precisely and with all details included; most importantly—who is the source of the account and their authority.

Enclosed is a copy of my general letter for this Rosh Hashanah, and surely you will utilize its content in an appropriate manner.
