...Regarding what you write about yourself, that you are a Misnaged (opponent of Chassidus) — you will not be upset with me if I do not believe you. As is well known from the saying of Rabbeinu HaZaken, author of the Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, that a Jew neither wants nor is able to be separated from G‑dliness. And just as now everyone recognizes that Chassidus and its teachings are connected with the Holy One Blessed Be He, and that through this one connects even more with G‑dliness — it cannot be that a Jew would be an opponent (Misnaged) to this. There can only be a difference in the degree of closeness and attachment. Just as in other areas of Torah — not every person, even among scholars, can reach its ultimate depth, which is beyond human understanding; there are those who know a certain part more and those who know even more. So too regarding Chassidus. May Hashem help everyone among all Israel that the new year should surpass the previous one in being more educated and having greater understanding — and may this be with health and joy.
