במענה על מכתבו מא' תמוז בו כותב אשר כל משפחתו ומשפחת זוגתו נמצאים באה"ק ת"ו וגם הוריו חפצם לעלות שמה ומציעים גם לו שיעשה כזה וגם זוגתו תחי' חפצה זאת.
הנה עליו להבטיח שיוכלו להסתדר בעלותם ארצה בסביבה של אנשים חרדים לדבר ה' לומדי תורתו ומקימי מצותיו ואם יהי' בטוח בזה הרי עליו לקבל על עצמו (כמובן בלי נדר) תוספת בשיעורי לימוד בתורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות וכן תוספת בקיום המצות בהידור שזהו ישמש הכנה לעלייתו לארץ אשר עיני ה"א בה מראשית השנה עד אחרית שנה, ויה"ר שיצליח בכל זה ויוכל לבשר טוב.

In response to your letter from the 1st of Tammuz in which you write that your entire family and your wife's family are in Eretz HaKodesh, may it be rebuilt and established, and your parents also wish to move there and are suggesting that you do the same, and your wife also desires this. You must ensure that you will be able to settle upon your arrival in a community of people who are G‑d-fearing, who study His Torah and observe His mitzvos. If you are confident about this, then you should accept upon yourself (of course without making a vow) to increase your study of both the revealed Torah and Chassidus, as well as enhance your observance of mitzvos with greater care. This will serve as preparation for your Aliyah to the Land about which it is said: 'the eyes of the L‑rd your G‑d are upon it from the beginning of the year until year's end.' May it be His will that you succeed in all this and be able to share good news.
