I was pleased to receive news from Anash in Melbourne about your participation and assistance in the development of the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch Yeshiva there. Even though you will certainly continue to act with appropriate energy, as our Sages say, "We only urge those who are already diligent," I am writing these lines as encouragement—even though you likely do not need it—so that you will strive in this matter to the best of your ability and even beyond.

As explained in Chassidus regarding the difference between human service before and after Matan Torah: before Matan Torah, when "the decree was not yet annulled," a person could only achieve according to his own capacity and root, but not beyond. After Matan Torah, when "the decree was annulled," and Hashem descended upon Mount Sinai and Moshe ascended, a person can now draw down not only from the root of creation but even higher. The details are well known to you and need no elaboration.

The reason I am writing about this now is because significant changes must be made in organizing the yeshiva there. I hope that eventually it will be established and spread within the city itself and then in its surroundings. It is known that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, said: "As one positions oneself, so things proceed." Therefore, one must mobilize all strengths and establish this in a way that is for honor and glory—especially since this is the only yeshiva in all of Australia, from which flows life for all matters of religion in this country.
