...Regarding what you conclude in your letter that I should not be upset about your son... shiyichye not traveling on the Melach mission: I am not upset about it but rather regretful, because these journeys—even though outwardly people say they are from the Melach—are in truth part of the educational program for Avrechim and bring them much benefit in several ways. According to my perspective on your son's character, the benefit for him would have been in several aspects even more than for other Avrechei HaTemimim. And not only because a yeshiva Avrech should not behave differently from his peers, but mainly because such a journey on this mission would have given him a lot. But one cannot cry over the past.

Enclosed is the kuntres that was recently published, which will surely interest your honor shiyichye.
