במענה על מכתבו מז' מנחם אב, התענגתי לשמוע כי מוצא מקום עבודה לעשות עם עצמו וכן עם הזולת, ובודאי יהי' בהצלחה ואשמח לשמוע בשורות טובות מפעולותיו.
בנוגע לשאלתו על דבר זה שמבשלים לפעמים חלב עכו"ם בהכלים שמבשלים בעד כל הבחורים, הנה אם אמת הוא בודאי יוכלו לפעול הוא וחבריו לאכול ממה שנתבשל בכלים אחרים.
בטח זוכר מה שנדברנו קודם נסיעתו, אז מען דארף ניט זיין צופיל

In response to your letter from the 7th of Menachem Av, I was pleased to hear that you have found a place of work where you can work on yourself as well as help others. Certainly it will be successful and I will be happy to hear good news from your activities.
Regarding your question about the matter that sometimes non-Jewish milk is cooked in the utensils used for all the students: if this is true, certainly you and your friends can arrange to eat from what was cooked in other utensils.
You surely remember what we discussed before your trip: one should not be overly melancholy, and one must know that the One Above is by nature good and does good. The Rebbeim devoted themselves to Ahavas Yisrael and to carrying out their matters with kindness and mercy. "Ivdu es Hashem b'simchah" (Serve Hashem with joy) is written.
