מכתבו עם הפ"נ בעתו נתקבל, וכבקשתו קראתיו על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, ובהיכלו ששם נכנסים ליחידות ולנתינת פ"נ,
וצדיק מברך והשי"ת ממלא ברכות צדיק, דאשתכח בהאי עלמא יתיר מבחיוהי, על מילואן.
תקותי אשר אין נזקק להערה ולהארה אדות ענין ההתקשרות לנשיא הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, אשר ההתקשרות הוא ע"י למוד תורתו והליכה בדרכיו אשר הורה.
ובטח יש לו קביעות עתים ללימוד תורת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ אשר במאמריו שיחותיו ומכתביו. ומה טוב אם הלימוד הוא בחבורה אשר איש את רעהו יחזקו ויעוררו.
ומובן אשר אין זה פוטר משאר השיעורים אשר כל אחד ואחד מחויב בהם. ובכללם שיעורים השוים לכל נפש בחק יומי והם: חומש עם פרש"י, תהלים כמו שנחלק לימי החודש, תניא כפי שנחלק לימי השנה על ידי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
Your letter with the pan arrived in due time. As you requested, I read it at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, and in his room where people enter for yechidus and to give a pan. A tzaddik blesses and Hash-yit fulfills the blessings of a tzaddik—who is found in this world even more than during his lifetime—in their entirety.
I hope there is no need to comment or elaborate regarding the matter of hiskashrus (bond) to the Nasi, my revered father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m; this bond is through studying his Torah and following the paths he taught.
Surely you have set times for learning the Torah of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m as found in his maamarim (discourses), sichos (talks), and letters. How good it is if this study is done in a group where each person strengthens and inspires his friend.
It is understood that this does not exempt one from other regular shiurim that everyone is obligated to do. Among these are daily shiurim that are suitable for every soul: Chumash with Rashi, Tehillim as divided by days of the month, Tanya as divided by days of the year by my revered father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m.

Bli neder, I will mention their names—in the room and at the resting place—as well as your aunt for everything needed, as you requested in your letter. And surely I say bli neder every day with "the Rebbe's kapitel Tehillim" (now kapitel 71), at least until Yud Shevat 5711. See also the sichah in Kuntres 12 Tammuz Hash-yit section 11.

Summary
