Certainly you are following the doctor's instructions. Healing is granted by the Eibershter (the Almighty). However, Torah tells us that He wants it to be partially through an agent—a doctor and the means prescribed by the doctor.
One must always remember that the main remedies are mitzvos and good deeds which the Eibershter has commanded each of us to do. They bring health and strength.
With blessings for a speedy recovery and regards to your son Mr... Sheyichyeh—may you have from him and his family complete nachas, Jewish nachas.
