Shalom u'Vrachah!

In the third month on this day, as explained by the Megaleh Amukos at the beginning of Parshas Emor: 'Bold as a leopard' refers to Torah (based on Beitzah 25b), 'light as an eagle' refers to compassion—love, 'swift as a deer' refers to mitzvos (based on Berachos 6b), and 'strong as a lion' refers to awe (the letters of 'ari', lion). These correspond to the four letters of the Name Havayah (see Zohar III 123b; Tanya chapter 44). Awe (lower level) is the gateway for all these levels and their foundation (see Zohar I 8a; Kuntres HaAvodah chapter 2), while awe (higher level) is their ultimate purpose, as it is written (Devarim 6:24; see Tanya end of chapter 23). It can be said that this is also the conclusion of the saying: 'To do His will...'—the tip of the yud (Iggeres HaTeshuvah chapter 4 and elsewhere)—but this requires further explanation. Summary

The letter teaches that each animal trait symbolizes a spiritual quality in serving G‑d, aligning with Torah study, love, mitzvah observance, and awe—each corresponding to a letter in G‑d's Name. Awe serves both as foundation and ultimate goal in divine service.
