Shalom u'Vrachah!

Enclosed is the kuntres for Pesach that is approaching, and surely you will merit to share it with the many as well as with individuals. My intention here is not only regarding yourself—which goes without saying—but also regarding each individual friend. For our leaders in general, and especially our leader in this generation, my revered father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m, have taught us that one must strive for the good—both material and spiritual—of even a single individual with all strength and vigor.

The meaning of this directive is that none of us knows which effort will be successful, and perhaps all are equally good. Besides this, since one Jewish soul is an entire world on its own, it has been explained in the talk printed in the kuntres (also quoted in the introduction) that jeder yachid iz a rabim (every individual is a multitude), he has the power to make a multitude and to enliven a multitude. This means that even if among those you influence there is someone who by nature is withdrawn—a farzich'diger—this is only his nature before he works on himself; who knows what his state will be tomorrow or later on? Especially since it is known from our Sages (Yerushalmi Kesubos ch.1 halacha 2) that a Torah ruling changes nature.

If you connect this withdrawn individual so that he will be "in Rabbi's place," then in Rabbi's place the law follows Rabbi; he will influence and enliven his entire environment. The effort you invested in him will produce growth and further growth until the end of the world—to the limit of concealment.

May it be G‑d's will that we all merit fulfillment of the promise: "As in the days of your exodus from Egypt," from Egypts and boundaries and concealments—I will show you wonders. Wishing you a kosher and joyous Pesach.
