כתבתי במכ' הקודם - לסעיף י"ד [ט"ו] של שו"ת הצ"צ - שיש מחברים במדרש תנחומא סוף פרשה וראש פ' שלאחרי' ומביאים גם סיפא דקרא דעת"י יתיב. וטעות היאידי, כי כתבתי ע"פ הרשום בזכרון. אלא גירסת המדת"נ היא שמביאים גם סיפא דקרא הנ"ל. וע"ז אפשר לומר, לפענ"ד, הכתוב במכתבי.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
My esteemed father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, in addition to my previous letter regarding the prohibition of shaving the beard... I wrote in my previous letter—on section 14 [15] of tzt"z responsa—that there are authors who cite at the end of Parsha and at the beginning of the following Parsha in Midrash Tanchuma, and they also bring the end of the verse 'da'ati yateiv.' This was a mistake on my part, as I wrote based on what I remembered. In truth, the version in Midrash Tanchuma is that they also bring the end of that verse. And regarding this, it is possible to say, in my humble opinion, what I wrote in my letter.
With this I remain your son-in-law, who seeks your welfare and is blessed by my esteemed father-in-law.
