Blessings and peace!

For the seventh annual banquet of your Manhattan women's division for Beis Rivka Schools, which will take place tomorrow, G‑d willing, Tuesday, 11 Iyar, 5712, I am sending you my greetings and blessing.

Our Sages of blessed memory teach that in the merit of the righteous women, the Jews were redeemed from Egypt. This merit consisted in that despite the harsh decrees and suffering of exile, they raised a generation of loyal Jewish children who were devoted to G‑d, the G‑d of their forefathers.

The Almighty, may He be blessed, has promised us that the future complete redemption — speedily in our days — will be similar to the redemption from Egypt. This means that just as then, so too now, the deliverance of the Jewish people depends on Jewish women, in whose hands lies the education of Jewish children.

I therefore hope that you will continue your work both in educating your own children and in helping educate other children. In particular, you should make every effort to strengthen your activities for the benefit of Beis Rivka Schools, where future Jewish mothers are educated — those who will uphold the traditions of righteous Jewish women from all generations.

With blessings for success in your work; through this you also open channels for G‑dly blessings for yourselves and all your loved ones — materially and spiritually.
