In response to your letter from last Erev Shabbos Kodesh with the enclosed pan for the boy '...,' when I am at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, I will read the pan and certainly arouse mercy upon him. It is appropriate that you find out from his mother—of course in a way that does not cause her distress if unnecessary—whether he was born in purity. In any case, instruct her to ensure there are kosher mezuzos in her home, and if possible, that he should wear tzitzis if he is of age for this. Certainly inform me when there is good news regarding an improvement in his health.

I was pleased to read in your letter that preparations are being made to utilize the upcoming vacation days by bringing some students to yeshiva. Great effort and energy should be invested in this to increase the number of such students. For aside from what is stated at the end of Tanya chapter 25—that this union above is eternal forever—and therefore even fulfilling a mitzvah once with these students is eternally significant above; in addition to this (and perhaps it is not just an addition but essential), when students hear a word of Torah, something about fear of Heaven or a mitzvah matter, it plants within them infinite and eternal power which ultimately has its effect below as well. May Hashem grant you and your helpers success in your holy work beyond nature and may it continue naturally so that generally all your personal matters will also be successful.
