Shalom u'Vrachah!

I received your letter with the pan (pidyon nefesh), and when I am—G‑d willing—these days at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, I will read it. Certainly he will arouse abundant mercy for each and every one mentioned in your pan for what they need both materially and spiritually. May Hashem grant you to share good news in your personal matters as well as in general matters. It is understood that for a general individual, even his personal matters are different and elevated compared to those of a private person; many examples of this can be found in Torah. In Sanhedrin (18b): "Imor kol devarav," it comes to teach that it refers to truly great matters.

As we approach the upcoming festival of Pesach, I hereby express my wishes that you celebrate with your entire family in kosher fashion and with joy, and may you draw this from this Rosh Hashanah (of months) into the entire year.
