כג תשרי, שמחת תורה
אֵין קוֹרְאִים בַּתּוֹרָה בַּלַּיְלָה. נ"כ בְּשַׁחֲרִית.
אֵין נוֹהֲגִים לִפְרוֹשׂ טַלִּית עַל רָאשֵׁי הָעוֹלִים לְחָתָן תּוֹרָה אוֹ לְחָתָן בְּרֵאשִׁית.
גַּם הָעוֹלֶם לַתּוֹרָה אֹומֵר חֲזַק חו"נ.
בְּשִׂמְחַת תּוֹרָה תק"מ אָמַר רַבֵּינוּ הַזָּקֵן: עֵץ חַיִּים הִיא לַמַּחֲזִיקִים בָּהּ - אֵלּוּ בַּעֲלֵי הַשָּׂגָה הַלּוֹמְדִים תּוֹרָה.
וְתוֹמְכֶי' מְאוּשָּׁר - אֵלּוּ בַּעֲלֵי עֲבוֹדָה הָעוֹסְקִים בַּתּוֹרָה.
מְאוּשָּׁר - גְלִיקְלאַך, כִּדְאִיתָא בְּזֹּהַר (ח"ג נג. ב) אַל תִּקְרֵי מְאוּשָּׁר אֶלָּא מֵרֹאשׁוֹ, דע"י עֲבוֹדָתָם מַמְשִׁיכִים מֵרֹאשׁוֹ הַיְּינוּ מִפְּנִימִיּוּת הא"ס ב"ה, וּכְמַעֲלַת הָרֶגֶל הַמְקַיֵּם אֶת הָרֹאשׁ דַּוְקָא.

We do not read from the Torah at night. Two Torah scrolls are read at Shacharis.
It is not the custom to spread a tallis over the heads of those called up for Chosson Torah or Chosson Bereishis.
The person called up for the Torah also says "Chazak" on Simchas Torah.
On Simchas Torah 5540, the Alter Rebbe said: “‘It is a tree of life to those who grasp it’—these are those who attain understanding and study Torah. ‘And its supporters are fortunate’—these are those who serve through avodah and are engaged in Torah.
‘Fortunate’—gliklach, as it is written in the Zohar (vol. 3, 53b): Do not read ‘fortunate’ (me’ushar) but ‘from its head’ (me’rosho), for through their avodah they draw down from the Head, meaning from the innermost aspect of the Ein Sof, blessed be He, similar to the quality of the foot, which specifically supports the head.”
