תלמידות המסיימות וכל המשתתפים בחגיגת סיום המחזור הראשון בית חנה - חב"ד בירושלים עיה"ק ת"ו ה' עליהם יחיו
שלום וברכה!
בנועם נתקבלה הידיעה על דבר סיום מחזור ראשון - מאורע חשוב ומרנין לב כשלעצמו, נוסף על הנחת-רוח שנגרם לי במיוחד היות שהמוסד נקרא על שם כבוד אמי מורתי הרבנית זצ"ל.
ויהי רצון שיקויים בהתלמידות בכלל, והמסיימות בפרט -
"כמופת
הייתי לרבים", הן בנוגע להתמדה ושקידה בלימודים והן בהנוגע לתכליתם - הנהגה מתאימה בחיי היום-יום ובאופן דמוסיף והולך. וכמדובר כמה פעמים ש"סיום" שייך בענינים שאינם חיוניים, אבל לא שייך "סיום" או הפסקה ח"ו בעניני תורתנו שהיא חיינו ובהנהגה על פי מצוותי'
עליהן נאמר
אשר יעשה אותם האדם וחי בהם.
ומזה מובן גם כן, אשר עונת הקיץ, שקוראים לה "עונת החופש", הרי זה אך בנוגע ללימודי חול ובעניני רשות, מה שאין כן בנוגע ללימודי קודש ובכל עניני טוב וקדושה. והרי כל אחד ואחת מישראל, בתור הקדמה למתן-תורה נצטוו:
ואתם
תהיו לי ממלכת כהנים וגוי קדוש. ואף שהוא לשון
ציווי
, הרי זה גם כן לשון הבטחה.
ומענין לענין באותו ענין, כיון שעומדים אנו בחודש דמתן-תורה, הרי בציווי ובהבטחה האמורה יש לנשי ובנות ישראל חלק חשוב ועיקרי,
וכפירוש
חכמינו ז"ל את הפסוק שנאמר כהקדמה לזה: כה תאמר לבית יעקב - אלו הנשים (תחילה, ואח"כ) תגד לבני ישראל - אלו האנשים.
ויתן השי"ת שכל המסיימות, ועל ידיהן המשפחות שלהן, וכל המשתתפים במסיבה זו, ועל ידיהם אלה שיושפעו מהם, יהיו חדורים ברוח התורה, שהיא נצחית, נצחית לא רק במובן
שלא
תהא מוחלפת, אלא שהיא בתוקפה בכל מקום ובכל עת ובכל יום ובכל שעה, בנוגע לכל בן ולכל בת מישראל, משך כל חיי האדם עלי אדמות, במחשבה דיבור ומעשה, ומעשה
הוא
העיקר.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
It was received with pleasure to hear about the completion of the first graduating class—a significant and heartwarming event in itself, especially since the institution is named after my esteemed mother, the Rebbetzin, of blessed memory. This brings me particular satisfaction.
May it be G‑d's will that it be fulfilled among all the students in general and especially among the graduates: "I have been a wonder to many," both regarding diligence and perseverance in studies and regarding their purpose—proper conduct in daily life in a manner that continually increases.
As has been discussed many times: "Completion" applies to matters that are not essential, but there is no completion or interruption when it comes to our Torah—which is our life—and living according to its mitzvos, about which it is said: "Which a person shall do and live by them."
From this it is also understood that the summer season—called "vacation time"—applies only to secular studies and optional matters; this does not apply to holy studies or any matter of goodness and holiness.
Every Jew, as a preparation for receiving the Torah, was commanded: "Ve'atem tihyu li mamlechet kohanim v'goy kadosh" (And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation). Although this is phrased as a commandment, it is also a promise.
On this same topic: Since we are now in the month of Matan Torah (the Giving of the Torah), Jewish women and girls have an important and central role in this commandment and promise—as our Sages interpret the verse that introduces this: "Ko tomar leBeit Yaakov" (Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob)—these are the women (first), and then "ve'taged liVnei Yisrael" (and tell the children of Israel)—these are the men.
May Hashem grant that all graduates—and through them their families—and all participants in this celebration—and through them those influenced by them—be permeated with the spirit of Torah, which is eternal. Eternal not only in that it will never be replaced but also because it remains strong everywhere, at every time, every day, every hour—for every Jewish boy and girl throughout their lives on earth—in thought, speech, and action; for action is most important.
