זה עתה נתקבל מכתבו מיום ב' בכסלו. ומצטער אני ש(על פי כתבו) לא קיבל מענה על מכתבו הקודם. שהרי תיכף לקבלתו כתבתי מכתב ברכה לחתונת בנו שי' שצריך הי' להתקבל עוד לפני החתונה.
וכיון שברכה בכל עת זמנה הוא, אכפול ברכתי שיהי' השידוך בנין עדי עד ומר וזוג' תחי' ישבעו מהם ומכל ילידיהם שיחיו רב נחת אמתי.
לכתבו אודות שהותם באה"ק ת"ו, ולאחרי זה ע"ד נסיעתם למדינות הדרום וכו', יהי רצון שיהי' כל זה בהצלחה. וכיון שמקרא מלא דיבר

- מה' מצעדי גבר כוננו ודרכו יחפץ, שאחד מהפירושים בזה: ודרכו - של השי"ת - יחפץ (הגבר), בודאי תהיינה למר הזדמנויות במדינות שיבקר להפיץ עניני היהדות, שבודאי יחפץ בזה, וגם פעולות אלו יוסיפו בברכת ה'.

For immediately upon receiving it, I wrote a letter of blessing for your son's wedding which should have arrived even before the wedding. And since a blessing is always timely, I will repeat my blessing: may the match be an everlasting edifice and may you and your wife enjoy much true nachas from them and all their offspring.
Regarding your note about your stay in Eretz Kodesh and then your trip to the southern states, etc., may it be G‑d's will that all this be with success. Since Scripture clearly states—MeiHashem Mitzadei Gever Konanu u'Darko Yachpatz (From G‑d are a man's steps established and He desires his way)—one of the explanations is: "and his way" refers to the man's way that Hashem desires—certainly you will have opportunities in the states you visit to spread matters of Judaism, which you surely desire; these activities will also increase G‑d's blessings.
