Here is copied the text of the telegram which our master, teacher and Rebbe shlita graciously agreed to send in connection with the Bar Mitzvah celebration for orphans of war.
B"H, 15 Menachem Av, 5732.
To each and every Bar Mitzvah boy who is an orphan of war in our holy land, shlita: Great peace and blessings!
On this festive day, as our Sages say in their teachings—during these days of consolation after the destruction that came because of our sins which caused us to be exiled from our land—I join in your joy as you reach Bar Mitzvah age. May it be G‑d's will that you accept upon yourself the yoke of our Torah, a Torah of life, and its mitzvos with joy, and fulfill them with health and tranquility, for may Hashem grant peace in the land.
The great merit of Torah and mitzvos protects the land and our people wherever they are, casting awe and fear upon every enemy and oppressor. There is a special quality in the mitzvah of tefillin—as our Sages teach: 'All the peoples of the earth shall see that the name of Hashem is called upon you.' Through all this you will bring true nachas to your father—may Hashem avenge his blood—who from his place in the World of Truth watches what happens with you, delights greatly in your good conduct, and rejoices immensely seeing you go from strength to strength in our Torah of truth and its mitzvos.
May it be G‑d's will that with righteousness (and humility) you can say: 'I have been a wonder to many; You (Hashem) are my strong refuge.'

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that Torah study and mitzvos provide protection for all Jews everywhere. Even orphans can bring true joy to their departed parents through their commitment to Torah values. The mitzvah of tefillin has special power to inspire awe among nations.
