נעם לי לקבל מכתבם מה' מנ"א – יום הסתלקות האר"י החי – אשר זכו להיבחר לועד כפר חב"ד, מיסודו ובהנהלתו של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא דורנו.
ויהי רצון אשר יזכו ויצליחו להגדיל את כפר חב"ד –

רוחב ועומק – בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
והרי נכנסנו בימי הנחמה (שבעה דנחמתא), אשר כל אחד ואחת מוסיף אומץ ומצליח למעט בהסיבה –
"מפני
חטאינו", ועל ידי זה מקרב ביטול המסובב – "גלינו מארצנו"; על אחת כמה וכמה בני ובנות ישראל היושבים בארץ אשר
"תמיד
עיני ה"א בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה", ובמיוחד כשעושים זה מתוך אור וחיות חסידותיים, מעינות הבעש"ט (נשיא חסידות הכללית) ותלמידיו ותלמידי תלמידיו
ובראשם נשיא חסידות חב"ד, רבנו הזקן –
אשר על ידי כל זה קאתי מלכא משיחא ובעגלא דידן.
וכמדובר כמה פעמים, הרי שליחות מיוחדת בכל זה לכפר חב"ד ולתושביו, מנער ועד זקן טף ונשים, והועד הרוחני

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter from the 8th of Menachem Av—the yahrzeit of the Arizal—informing me that you have been chosen as the committee of Kfar Chabad, founded and directed by my revered father-in-law, our Rebbe and leader of our generation.
May it be G‑d's will that you merit and succeed in expanding Kfar Chabad—in length, breadth, and depth—both materially and spiritually together.
We have now entered the days of comfort (the seven weeks of consolation), during which everyone adds strength and succeeds in reducing the cause—our sins—and thereby brings closer the nullification of its effect—our exile from our land; all the more so for the sons and daughters of Israel who dwell in the Land, which is always under G‑d's watch from the beginning to the end of the year. Especially when this is done with chassidic light and vitality—the wellsprings of the Baal Shem Tov (the leader of general Chassidus), his students and their students, headed by our master, the Alter Rebbe—through all this "Ka'ati Malka Meshicha u'Ve'agala Didan" (the King Moshiach will come speedily in our days).
As has been discussed many times, there is a special mission in all this for Kfar Chabad and its residents—from youth to elders, children and women—and for its spiritual committee and rabbi (the mara d'asra) at their head—may they live—until it can rightly be said about Kfar Chabad in all its matters: "I was a wonder to many, but You are my strong refuge."
