In connection with the upcoming annual celebration of the Central Yeshivos Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch, and on this very day—20th of Cheshvan—the birthday of the holy Rebbe Rashab, of blessed memory, the founder of Tomchei Temimim in Lubavitch, I come with a reminder and request to all lovers and supporters of Torah in general and to Anash in particular: to stand at the forefront among those who are active and supportive of the yeshivah, with the goal of ensuring, with G‑d's help, the success of this endeavor.

A businessman understands a good deal and knows how to appreciate a good investment. The best investment is not only when the capital brings in the highest dividends but also when those dividends themselves serve as further capital for additional dividends—and so on continuously, without end. Such an investment is education al taharas hakodesh (pure Torah education), when those who are educated become educators themselves and those influenced become influencers. This creates an unending chain of fruits and fruits-of-fruits in ever-increasing measure.

This was indeed the intention of the founder of Tomchei Temimim over seventy-one years ago when he emphasized that the students—the temimim—should be "neiros lehoir" (lights to illuminate)—lights that shine and illuminate their surroundings with the brightness of Torah and mitzvos in daily life among all circles and groups.

And how much this intention has been fulfilled and continues to be fulfilled in life—and with such great success—is well known and publicized. It is simply impossible to estimate the vast and far-reaching activities for spreading Torah and Judaism by these temimim—not only here in this country but also in various parts of the world.

Therefore I hope and am certain that each one will want to have an even greater share in this investment and will do everything possible to ensure the success of this annual endeavor—to provide full financial and moral support that the yeshivah needs in order to continue its holy work—and in a manner that increases ever more light.

Through this one also creates broad channels and vessels to receive G‑d's blessings for oneself and one's family members—in everything needed, both materially and spiritually together.
