אַזוי ווי מיר קומען פון חודש תשרי, וואָס זיין אָפּשלוס איז מיט זמן שמחתנו בכלל און שמחת-תורה בפרט, וויל איך האָפן, אַז אַלע אייערע ענינים, בפרט תורה-ענינים, ווערן געטאָן מיט שמחה.
און אַזוי ווי צו גוטעס איז קיין שיעור ניטאָ, זאָל דער אויבערשטער העלפן אַז דאָס אלעס אויבענגעשריבענע זאָל זיין אין אַן אופן פון אויפשטייג, און אין מסורה'דיגען לשון: באופן דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור, אין גוטן געזונד און פרייד, צוזאַמען מיט אייער פרוי און קינדער שיחיו.

Since we saw each other here, I have not heard from you, which I would like to take as a sign that everything is in order with you and your household. For a Jew, being "in order" means both materially and spiritually. And if this is so for every Jew, how much more so in your case, since Hashem has granted you success to accomplish so much for Judaism—especially in your community—which pleased me to hear from you.
As we are coming from the month of Tishrei, whose conclusion is with Zman Simchaseinu (the season of our rejoicing) in general and Simchas Torah in particular, I hope that all your affairs—especially those connected to Torah—are carried out with joy.
And since there is no limit to good things, may the One Above help that all the above should be in a manner of ascent—and in the traditional language: in a way of "mosif v'holech mosif v'or" (increasing and increasing light), with goodness, health, and happiness together with your wife and children.
