זה עתה נתקבל מכתבו מט"ז באב, בו כותב על דבר מסיבת ההילולא ויום הזכרון של הוריו ושל דודו ז"ל.
ויהי רצון שתהי' המסיבה בהצלחה, ובמסיבה כגון זו הצלחה כמובן פירוש המשכת ההשפעה גם בימים הבאים לאחרי זה, להוספה בלימוד התורה ובהידור קיום מצותי', אשר זה בא על ידי לימוד
התורה
בהקדמת יראת שמים ומתוך יראת שמים, כמבואר בדברי חכמינו ז"ל.
והרי זה גם כן מענינא דיומייא אילין,
וכידוע
אשר מ' ימים האחרונים, שהתחלתם ורובם בחודש אלול, הי' ענינם תורה ותפלה (תשובה) גם יחד, משא"כ מ' ימים הראשונים שענינם תורה ומ' ימים האמצעיים שענינם תפלה (תשובה).
ויברכהו השי"ת נותן התורה ומצוה המצוה באריכות ימים ושנים טובות, וירבה חילו בענינים האמורים, הן לעצמו ועוד ועיקר ברבים, וזכות הרבים מסייעתו, לעשות בכל זה מתוך בריאות הנכונה בשמחה ובטוב לבב.
בכבוד ובברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לכל המשתתפים במסיבה האמורה, ומובן ופשוט לכל בני ביתו שי', ולבשורות טובות בכל האמור.

Your letter dated Motzaei Tisha B'Av was just received, in which you write about the hilula gathering and yahrzeit of your parents and your uncle z"l.
May it be G‑d's will that the gathering be successful. In such a gathering, success naturally means drawing down influence for the days following as well—an increase in Torah study and enhanced observance of mitzvos. This is achieved through Torah study preceded by awe of Heaven and conducted with awe of Heaven, as explained by our Sages z"l.
This is also relevant to these days; as is known, the last forty days—beginning mostly in Elul—are associated with both Torah and prayer (teshuvah), unlike the first forty days (Torah) or the middle forty (prayer/teshuvah).
May Hashem, Giver of the Torah and Commander of mitzvos, bless you with long life and good years. May you increase your strength in these matters—for yourself and especially for others—and may the merit of the many help you to do all this in good health, with joy and gladness of heart.
With honor and blessings for a good inscription and sealing for all participants in the aforementioned gathering—and obviously for all your household—and for good news in all matters mentioned.
P.S. Enclosed in your letter was a copy of your previous letter regarding your birthday. I believe I answered at that time. In any case: "Two are better than one," etc. May you be blessed with a good and successful year both materially and spiritually—and most importantly—with true nachas: Jewish-Chassidic nachas from all your descendants.
