I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from Motzaei Shemini Atzeret, in addition to the telegram. Surely you are also aware of the developments since then, in accordance with the telegram I sent to the committee that is among the Chabad institutions in your city and our people there who were chosen by them, etc. Through this my position on the matter is also clarified: that they—the committee—are the ones who decide all matters regarding the synagogue. Even if it were an ordinary synagogue; how much more so since it was founded by the community of our Rebbe the tzt"z and is named after him, etc. This means that both the revealed teachings of the tzt"z—including his halachic rulings even regarding growing a beard as it pertains to gabbaim and similar matters—and his inner teachings must be evident in all aspects of this synagogue and study hall. First and foremost in its customs, in the lessons studied there, etc., and so forth.
I was pleasantly surprised to receive just now Tractate Shabbat (first part), which you published with your commentaries, etc. Fortunate is your lot to see good fruit from your labor. May it be G‑d's will that you continue to progress and add light in this area; for in matters of holiness there is always room to add—and we are even commanded to do so—since they are connected with Hakadosh Baruch Hu Who is infinite. May Hashem grant you success to improve and add in these matters; surely the merit of the many assists you.
On another note: I must express my deep disappointment and wonder that until now the volume dedicated to Rabbeinu HaZaken has not been published. Although we do not cry over what has passed, I express my hope that for Yud-Tes Kislev—the festival of Rabbeinu HaZaken's redemption (which is also our redemption and soul's liberation)—the aforementioned volume will already appear bound, etc., so that on this day (and even better if before) knowledge of Rabbeinu HaZaken's approach and teachings will increase in a way that leads to action: walking on a straight path as he taught us from his ways (see Iggeret HaKodesh sec. Zach). According to information I have received from several sources—this matter depends solely on you.
