After a long break I received your letter, and the pidyon will be read at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Admor zatzal. May Hashem grant that you receive good news in this matter and regarding your personal situation.
It is self-evident that I am pained that you did not mention anything regarding a shidduch. Apparently, the reason for this silence is that there has been no change in this matter. Yet there is the assurance: Yagata u'Matzata ("You have toiled and you have found"). However, there must be true effort in searching for a suitable shidduch.
Since I have already written many times on this topic, I do not wish to repeat myself; only to remind you of our Sages' saying: Chatan – Chot Darga ("A groom – steps down a level"). In other words, the groom should not be afraid of 'Chot Darga,' as long as the main thing—that is to say Judaism, fear of Heaven, and good character traits—are as they should be.
