הבעל שם טוב שכל אחד ואחת מבני ישראל יקר וחביב לאבינו שבשמים יותר מבן יחיד הנולד להוריו לעת זקנתם. שמזה מובן גודל הסיוע שמשפיעים מלמעלה לכל אחד השייך לעניני חינוך, ובפרט למי שיש לו פיקוח על כמה בתי ספר. אלא שיש לנצל סיוע זה במילואו להטבת החינוך בכל השטחים ובפרט בכל הענינים המקרבים לב התלמיד והתלמידה לאבינו אביהם שבשמים, אשר בגודל אהבתו לעם ישראל הרי –

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter through Mrs. Rachel tichyeh Donin, and in accordance with your request I will mention you for the fulfillment of your heart's desires for good and blessing.
Since your position and activities are in supervising girls' schools—each of whom is a daughter of Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel, and Leah—you surely recognize the great merit you have been granted to work in the field of education. As is known from the Baal Shem Tov's saying: every single Jew is precious and beloved to our Father in Heaven more than an only child born to parents in their old age.
From this it is understood how great is the assistance bestowed from Above to anyone involved in matters of education—especially one who supervises several schools. However, this assistance must be fully utilized to improve education in all areas, particularly those that draw the hearts of students closer to our Father in Heaven. In His great love for the Jewish people—as expressed in the traditional phrase—He chose us from among all nations (the expression of this choice being) and gave us His Torah; obviously this is so that we study it diligently and persistently, so that learning leads to daily conduct according to Torah, the Torah of life.
